I gotta say: these pants are the perfect getaway partner. Add a crop top with the pair while strolling the streets of a tropical island (can I get an amen here!) Unlike the heavier fabrics we find with most trousers, these cropped ones are breezy and oh so easy to wear… especially in very hot & humid Summer conditions (someone pleeeaaaase take me on that getaway already?!)
Some of my taller friends are too nervous to even take these cropped pairs to the fitting room. “There’s always a ‘Chico The Clown’ moment waiting to happen in cropped pants”, they’ve told me. Honestly, the cropped factor is what I love so much about this pair. It’s super hard being 5.3 and trying to find pants that don’t drag on the floor (story of my life!). But don’t worry, my tall fashionistas. If you’re gonna opt for cropped pants, just make sure they don’t flare out sooooo much. Keep the cut straight, simple, and flowy. This way, you’re guaranteed not to look like you’re expecting floods in these pants!
Perhaps you’re going for a more formal vibe? These are also the perfect pants to pull off smart & easy elegance (it’s really a win-win kinda situation). While Summer often calls for all-white ensembles, mixing up the pants with a black piece looks just as good and if not more on the edgy-city-sorta vibe. It all just depends on the feel you’re going for. All-white doesn’t stay crisp & clean for very long in New York guys, and so adding my sneaky cold-shoulder crop keeps the look classic. You cannot beat that.
Can we just talk about little block heels please?! They are super in at the moment and I’m just loving the comfort factor that they bring. I paired these from Rag & Bone together with my hat & sunnies to really finish off that Tropicana-loving look I was going for. And there you have it: another chic, simple, Summery outfit.
